Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance data, explained
Bing Webmaster Tools is Microsoft's free console for site owners, the Bing counterpart of Google Search Console. It reports how your site appears in Bing search: queries, impressions, clicks and crawl health. Because Microsoft Copilot grounds many answers in Bing's index, Bing data is also a direct window into how Microsoft's AI assistant uses your pages. Its AI Performance report shows which of your pages Copilot cites.
For AI visibility work this matters because it is first-party data. Most AI visibility tools ask engines questions and observe the answers. Bing's report is Microsoft telling you, from its own logs, how often your pages were cited. The two views together show both what buyers see and what the platform counted.
