Daily AI visibility monitoring: which tools run every day, and what daily means.
10 of the 14 AI visibility tools AI assistants name most run daily on their cheapest paid plan, but "daily" means different things: one answer per prompt per engine per day at some, a credit pool you spread across hourly to monthly schedules at others. Proofsource runs every question on all 4 engines once each UTC day on Custom. Below is each tool's cadence from its own pages.
Which AI visibility tools explicitly offer daily scans, and how is "daily" defined?
Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, SE Ranking, Writesonic, Rankscale, Siftly, AIclicks and ZipTie publish daily tracking on their cheapest paid plan. Few define it. The table shows what each vendor says, and our arithmetic where they only publish volumes.
| Tool | How often it runs | Daily on the cheapest paid plan? | What a daily run means | Engines at entry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Proofsourcepricing | Daily on Custom by default, or hourly or any frequency you choose; the trial runs 2 scans, today and tomorrow | Yes. Custom runs daily at minimum, and so does Managed | By default, one answer per question, per engine, per UTC day, collected by one scheduled run each day. A Custom plan can run hourly or at any frequency you choose, set at onboarding. | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews on the trial; Custom covers all 10 engines on the pricing page |
| Profoundsource | Daily | Daily on the trial; the only paid plan is Enterprise | 50 prompts run daily for 7 days on the trial | Trial: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise: up to 9 |
| Otterly.AIsource | Daily on every plan | Yes | Every prompt runs once a day, not at the same hour each day. You cannot speed it up, slow it down or start a run by hand | ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot; Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons |
| Peec AIsource | Daily; daily or weekly on Enterprise | Yes | Our arithmetic on its table: 4,500 answers a month for 50 prompts on 3 models is one answer per prompt per model per day | Choose 3 models per plan; more models cost extra; up to 13 on Enterprise |
| Semrush AI Visibility Toolkitsource | Prompt tracking daily; Brand Performance reports weekly | Yes for prompt tracking | Not published | ChatGPT and Google AI Mode are named; the full list is not published on the page |
| Ahrefs Brand Radarsource | Daily, weekly or monthly, set per prompt | Yes | Each prompt uses 1 check per platform, location and update. Claude uses 8 checks per update | Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot; Claude available |
| Scrunchsource | Not published | Not published | Our arithmetic: 5,000 responses over 125 prompts on 4 engines is 10 answers per prompt per engine a month, about one every 3 days | Core: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Enterprise: 9 |
| SE Rankingsource | Daily | Yes | Not published | AI Search add-on: Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT |
| Writesonicsource | Daily | Yes | Not published | ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; all 10 platforms on Enterprise |
| Rankscalesource | You choose: hourly, daily, weekly or monthly | Yes, if your credits cover it | Each query to an AI engine uses a fraction of a credit, typically 0.25 | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok, Copilot and more |
| Siftlysource | Daily on paid plans; weekly on the free plan | Yes | A response is one AI answer to one prompt on one engine; a prompt on 4 engines with a daily refresh uses 4 responses a day | 3 engines on Starter, 8 on Scale |
| AIclickssource | Daily on every plan | Yes | Not published | Choose 3 models on Starter, 4 on Pro, 6 on Business |
| AthenaHQsource | Not published | Not published | Usage is counted in credits, one per AI response | Starter: 11 models including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek |
| Knowatoasource | Daily, per its pricing FAQ | Not published | Its pricing FAQ says it analyses answers daily, without tying that to a plan | Starter: ChatGPT, AI Overviews and AI Mode. Growth ($199 a month): all 7 |
| ZipTiesource | Daily, weekly or monthly, set per prompt | Yes | A daily prompt holds one slot and re-runs every 24 hours. A weekly prompt costs a seventh of a daily one | 7 engines |
The definition worth holding a vendor to is one fresh answer per question, per engine, per calendar day. Siftly spells it out: it counts one response per prompt per engine, so a prompt on 4 engines refreshed daily uses 4 responses a day. ZipTie's daily slot re-runs every 24 hours. Otterly.AI runs each prompt once a day at no fixed hour and lets you neither slow it down nor start a run by hand.
Three questions settle what a vendor's "daily" really is:
- Every prompt on every engine, or a sample? A plan that caps answers a month can run a rotation and still call itself daily.
- A calendar day or a rolling 24 hours? A fixed day makes day-over-day charts line up; a rolling window drifts.
- Which engines, at that cadence? Some plans run the base engines daily and charge extra for the rest.
Are daily scans available on entry-level plans or only on enterprise tiers?
Mostly on entry-level plans now: 10 of the 14 tools run daily on their cheapest paid plan.
The exceptions, from their own pages:
- Profound: Daily on the trial; the only paid plan is Enterprise.
- Scrunch: daily on the entry plan is not published. Our arithmetic: 5,000 responses over 125 prompts on 4 engines is 10 answers per prompt per engine a month, about one every 3 days.
- AthenaHQ: daily on the entry plan is not published. Usage is counted in credits, one per AI response.
- Knowatoa: daily on the entry plan is not published. Its pricing FAQ says it analyses answers daily, without tying that to a plan.
- Proofsource: Yes. Custom runs daily at minimum, and so does Managed. The free trial is 2 scans, today and tomorrow, not a daily subscription.
Cheap and daily usually means few prompts or few engines. Compare the volume and engine columns on the AI visibility tool pricing page before you compare prices.
How often can these tools detect day-to-day changes in AI answers?
No faster than they sample: a daily tool sees a change the next day at the earliest. Whether that change is real is a separate question, because answers move on their own.
In our own measurement of the same questions one day apart, Perplexity changed 27% of the brands it named and Claude 9%. A dip on one day can be that churn, not a lost recommendation.

How can I track day-to-day changes in which competitors AI assistants recommend instead of my company?
Ask the same buyer questions on every engine every day, record the whole list of brands each answer names, and only call a change when it clears its confidence interval.
- Fix the questions. Use the questions your buyers ask, in their words, and keep them stable so one day compares with the next.
- Ask every engine daily. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name different brands for the same question; see the engine trackers.
- Record everyone named, not only you. The competitor who replaced you is the finding.
- Put an interval on every rate. A 95% Wilson interval tells a real shift from a noisy day.
- Read the cited pages. When a rival starts winning a question, the pages the engine cites show why.
Proofsource does each step: it records every brand named and every page cited, and flags a change only when it clears the interval. See AI visibility, citations and alerts.
Which daily-scan tool supports ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity?
Otterly.AI and Proofsource cover all three on their entry plan and run daily. Peec AI does if you pick those three models, SE Ranking lists all three in its AI Search add-on, and Ahrefs Brand Radar covers them if you pay checks for each platform.
Claude is the engine entry plans most often leave out. Proofsource includes it on every plan. Rankscale lists it among the engines your credits can query, Ahrefs charges 8 checks per Claude update, and Otterly.AI sells it as an add-on.

What buyers ask about daily AI visibility monitoring
What's the best tool for daily monitoring of my brand's visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews?
It depends on whether Claude must be in the base plan. Proofsource asks every question on all 4 engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews) every day on Custom, from $64 per brand per month (final price discussed on demo call). Otterly.AI runs daily from the lowest published price but sells Claude as an add-on. Ahrefs Brand Radar runs custom prompts daily and charges 8 checks per Claude update. Peec AI runs daily on 3 models you choose.
Which AI visibility monitoring tools run scans every day rather than weekly, and what do they cost per brand?
Of the 14 tools AI assistants name most for this category, 10 run daily on their cheapest paid plan: Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, SE Ranking, Writesonic, Rankscale, Siftly, AIclicks and ZipTie. The lowest fixed entry price is Otterly.AI's Lite, $29 a month, for one workspace and 15 prompts. Proofsource runs daily on Custom by default, or hourly if you choose, from $64 per brand per month (final price discussed on demo call). The full per-brand comparison is on our AI visibility tool pricing page.
How is "daily" defined at Proofsource?
By default, one answer per question, per engine, per UTC day, collected by one scheduled run each day. A Custom plan can run hourly or at any frequency you choose, set at onboarding. Every question you track is asked on every engine in your plan, and the day is a fixed UTC calendar day, so one day's answers line up with the next.
Does the Proofsource free trial run daily?
The trial runs 2 scans, today and tomorrow: 25 questions on all 4 engines each time. Then scanning pauses and your answers stay. Daily runs continue on a Custom plan.
Is daily monitoring worth it, or is weekly enough?
Daily is worth it for the questions that drive pipeline, because answer sets move fast: in our own day-over-day measurement, Perplexity changed 27% of the brands it named and Claude 9%. Weekly can be enough for a slow category you report on monthly, but you lose the day a change happened.
How often should I monitor AI recommendations in my category?
Daily for your core buyer questions, so a lost recommendation shows up within a day and you can tie it to what changed. Read the trend over a week or more before acting, because a single day's answer is noisy.
