Proofsource and IndexNow: pages found the moment they ship
A fix only helps once AI can read it. IndexNow lets Proofsource tell Bing and the other IndexNow engines about every new or changed fix page the moment it is published, instead of waiting for a routine crawl. There is nothing to connect: the key is made for you on your brand's first publish.

Why we love IndexNow
In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.
One ping, many engines
IndexNow is an open protocol: tell one participating search engine about a change and the others hear about it too, so you do not have to notify each one separately.
From indexnow.orgSimple enough to adopt in minutes
The documentation reduces the whole idea to a key file on your site and a short request listing the changed addresses. That small surface is why so many sites and platforms support it.
From indexnow.orgClear answers to the practical questions
The FAQ covers what to submit, how often, and what to expect, written so a site owner can act on it without reading a spec first.
From indexnow.orgHow Proofsource uses IndexNow
Tells Bing and other IndexNow engines the moment Proofsource publishes or changes a fix page, with no setup.
- Know
Spot the page AI cannot yet see
Proofsource finds the buyer question you lose and drafts the page that answers it. The page only counts once engines have fetched it.
- Act
Make the key on first publish
When your brand publishes its first fix, Proofsource creates the IndexNow key and its key file for you. You do not paste anything or open a settings page.
- Ship
Announce each page as it goes live
Every time a fix page is published or changed, Proofsource sends its address to IndexNow so Bing and the other participating engines can recrawl it sooner.
- Prove
Check whether it was picked up
Proofsource then asks the same buyer questions again and shows whether engines now name and cite the page, so you see the effect of the faster discovery.
Set up IndexNow in 4 steps
Add your brand's website
IndexNow needs only the brand's website address, which Proofsource already has from setup. There is no account, token or DNS record.
Publish your first fix
On the first publish for the brand, Proofsource makes the key and the key file that proves the site is yours.
Check the card says On
Open Integrations, then the Bing and IndexNow card under Publish to your site. It shows On, and Where Proofsource acts lists the IndexNow row with the state of the key file.
Keep shipping
From then on each published or changed fix page is submitted automatically. There is nothing to renew or switch on again.

Questions about Proofsource and IndexNow
What does Proofsource do with IndexNow?
Each time a fix page is published or changed, Proofsource sends that page's address to IndexNow. Participating engines such as Bing can then recrawl it sooner than a routine crawl would. It does not change your site beyond the key file that proves ownership.
Do I need to connect anything?
No. The key is made automatically on your brand's first publish. The only thing IndexNow needs from you is the brand's website address, which Proofsource already has.
What access does it need?
No account or token. It uses a key file on your site to show the site is yours, and it submits only the addresses of fix pages Proofsource published.
How do I turn it off?
It is automatic and part of publishing, so there is no login to revoke. If you do not want a key file on your site, ask us and we will switch it off for the brand.
What does Live mean for IndexNow?
It is on for every workspace and shows as On on the Bing and IndexNow card under Publish to your site. There is no beta or waitlist.
How does this help my AI visibility?
An answer engine cannot cite a page it has not fetched. By announcing each fix page quickly, Proofsource shortens the wait before engines can read it, and Bing's index feeds Microsoft Copilot. Proofsource then re-asks your buyer questions to show whether the page started to be named or cited.
Does IndexNow guarantee I will be cited?
No. It tells engines a page exists or has changed; whether they use it depends on the page and the question. That is why Proofsource measures the answers afterwards instead of assuming.
Which AI engines does Proofsource check?
Up to 10 depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The free scan and trial run four.
