Prove each fix changed what AI says about you
Proofsource verifies every AI visibility fix. Before a fix ships it writes down the expected result; after it goes live it re-asks the same questions on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews and other engines (up to 10 in all) on day 7, 14 and 28, then on days 45 to 90. You see the answer before and after, per engine, and a dated proof receipt when the goal is reached.
| Engine | Before (Oct 24) | After (day 14) |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Otter, Fireflies | Driffle, Otter, Fireflies |
| Perplexity | Fathom, Otter | Driffle, Fathom |
| Claude | Otter | Otter |
| Google AI Overviews | Fireflies, Otter | Driffle, Fireflies |

AI fix verification, explained
AI fix verification is the practice of checking, with fresh readings, whether a change you made actually altered how AI assistants answer. AI answers vary from run to run, and engines update their sources on their own schedule. Without a plan for measurement, any change in a dashboard after a new page goes live could be noise, seasonality or a competitor's move.
Sound verification borrows from experiments. You state what you expect before you ship, you measure the same questions on the same engines on fixed days afterward, and you compare against what the answers said before. You report the count, such as named in 5 of 12 readings, rather than a vague score.
Proofsource does this for every fix. It records a dated hypothesis and expected result before shipping, dates the fix when it goes live, and re-asks the fix's questions on day 7, 14 and 28, then on days 45, 60, 75 and 90. Each fix shows the answers before and after per engine, a climb chart against named competitors, a timeline from tracked question to verified fix, and a proof receipt when the goal is reached. Changes your own team made can be logged and verified the same way.
How it works
Prove whether each fix changed AI answers: a result written before shipping, re-reads on fixed days, and before and after answers per engine.
State the expected result
Before a fix ships, Proofsource writes down its hypothesis and the result to expect, such as mentioned in 6 of 10 answers by day 28.
Date the fix
The moment the fix goes live is recorded, whether Proofsource shipped it or your team did and logged it.
Re-ask the same questions
The fix's questions run again on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews and other engines (up to 10 in all) on day 7, 14 and 28, then on days 45 to 90.
Compare before and after
Each engine's answer before and after sits side by side, with counts such as read 12 times, named 5, missing 7.
Issue the proof
When the goal is reached the fix is marked Proven with a receipt, and you can move straight to the next problem.

Every capability, live today
27 shipped capabilities behind fix verification, each in the product now.
Pre-registered result
States the expected result before the fix ships, so success is defined in advance.
Pre-registered verification
Hypotheses and expected results are stored, dated and kept with the fix.
Fix hypotheses
Stores a hypothesis for each fix: why it should change the answer.
Dated fix record
Records a dated fix against the gap it targets, so the before and after line is clear.
Fix events and benchmarks
Records each dated fix and shows which fixes work.
Verification section
A live check, a page diff, and the lift on day 7, 14 and 28 for each fix.
Goal meter and early sign
A goal meter and readings row, with an early sign on day 7.
Proof window re-reads
Re-asks a shipped fix's questions on days 28, 45, 60, 75 and 90 and stores each reading.
Answer before and after
The answer before and after the fix, per engine, side by side or one at a time.
Plain count of each reading
Each reading is shown as a count, such as read 12 times, named 5, missing 7.
Climb past competitors
A race chart of your brand climbing past named competitors.
Climb window per engine
A fix's climb over its window, shown per AI assistant.
First mention
Shows the real answer that first named your brand after the fix, and the race.
Proof receipt
A receipt for each finished fix with the readings that proved it.
Fix lift benchmark
Measures how much a shipped fix moved the numbers and adds it to anonymous benchmarks.
Next problem after proof
After a fix is proven, start the same work on the brand's next problem.
Per-location proof
A fix tied to one location carries location chips and proof for that location.
Reads map replay
A map of AI reads of your pages over two weeks, replayed in about 25 seconds.
Map of what AI reads
The fix detail shows which pages AI read after the change.
Changed pages digest
A digest of pages that changed since the last scan, on the Fixes page.
Fix readings in reports
Reports include each fix's readings so results travel with the report.
Brand loop timeline
An ordered list per brand from tracked question to verified fix.
Log an action
Record work the team did itself and the questions it should move.
Logged action as a fix
A logged action becomes a fix and is verified like any other.
Past pull requests as dated fixes
Maps a repo's changed files to live pages so past pull requests can be imported as dated fixes.
Fix verdicts by horizon
See verification verdicts for each fix at every time horizon after it ships.
Before and after per metric
Each fix shows a metric's before and after numbers with a clear verdict on whether it moved.
Who it is for
Report results, not activity
Show the board that the comparison page moved Driffle from 1 in 10 answers to 6 in 10, with the dates and readings behind it.
Prove the work you billed
Share a proof receipt with the before and after answers for each fix your team shipped for the client.
Prove it per location
See whether the Austin page changed answers in Austin, separate from Dallas.
Measure work done outside Proofsource
Log the page update you made last week and get the same day 7, 14 and 28 readings.
Why it matters
Success defined in advance
The expected result is written before shipping, so nobody moves the goalposts later.
Real answers, not a score
Before and after answers per engine show exactly what changed.
Fixed days, fair comparison
Readings on set days after go-live separate a real change from day-to-day noise.
Learning that compounds
Each proven fix feeds anonymous benchmarks that rank future fixes.

Questions about fix verification
How does Proofsource prove a fix worked?
It writes down the expected result before the fix ships, dates the fix when it goes live, and re-asks the same questions on the same engines on day 7, 14 and 28, then on days 45 to 90. You see each engine's answer before and after, and the fix is marked Proven when the goal is met.
Which engines are re-checked?
The same engines that showed the gap, out of up to 10 AI engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
Why write the expected result before shipping?
Because AI answers vary. Stating the goal in advance, such as mentioned in 6 of 10 answers by day 28, keeps the verdict fair and stops anyone from picking a flattering number afterward.
How soon will I see a result?
Day 7 gives an early sign. Day 14 and day 28 give the main readings, and the proof window keeps checking through day 90 so you know whether the change held.
Can I verify changes my team made without Proofsource?
Yes. Log the action with the date and the questions it should move, and it is verified like any other fix. Repo-connected sites can also import past pull requests as dated fixes.
What if the fix did not work?
The readings show it plainly. Proofsource then suggests the next tactic for that question so the work continues instead of stopping at a flat result.
Can I share the proof with a client or my boss?
Yes. Each finished fix has a proof receipt, and reports include fix readings so the before and after travel with them.
How is this different from other AI visibility tools?
Many tools show visibility trends over time, which is useful. Proofsource ties each change to one dated fix, pre-registers the expected result, and re-reads the same questions on fixed days, so you can say which fix caused which change.
