Proofsource and WordPress: fixes that publish with one yes
Connect WordPress once with an application password and every AI visibility fix you approve can go live on your site as a post or a page. Proofsource shows the exact preview first, publishes only after you confirm, checks the page is reachable, and then measures whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and the other engines start naming your brand.

Why we love WordPress
In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.
Themes for every kind of site
The theme directory offers thousands of designs with a wide range of features, which lets a small team get a polished site live and restyle it later without rebuilding.
From wordpress.orgA REST API other tools can use
WordPress has a built-in REST API that lets other applications read and create posts, pages and media with standard requests, which is how tools can publish to a site without a plugin.
From developer.wordpress.orgFree to own and change
WordPress is released under an open source license that lets anyone use, study, change and share the software, so a site owner is never locked in.
From wordpress.orgHow Proofsource uses WordPress
Publishes approved AI visibility fixes to WordPress as a post or page after a preview, and rolls them back from the same screen.
- Know
Find the question you lose
Proofsource sees that ChatGPT or Perplexity names a competitor, not you, when buyers ask a question your blog never answers.
- Act
Draft the page that wins it
The draft is written from the pages AI already cites for that question, in your brand's voice, and waits in Fixes for your review.
- Ship
Publish to WordPress
You see the exact preview, choose post or page and confirm. Proofsource creates it through WordPress and checks that it is live.
- Prove
Check whether AI noticed
Proofsource asks the same questions again on day 7, 14 and 28 and shows engine by engine whether the WordPress page is now named and cited.
Set up WordPress in 4 steps
Create an application password
In WordPress open your user profile and add an application password. It is separate from your login and can be revoked at any time.
Add WordPress in Proofsource
Under Fixes, Publish to, choose WordPress and enter the site address, the WordPress user and the application password. Proofsource checks them with WordPress first, then stores them encrypted.
Preview and publish a fix
Open a drafted fix, pick post or page, read the preview and confirm. Proofsource publishes it and confirms the page is reachable.
Roll back whenever you like
Every published fix has a roll back that moves the post to the WordPress trash, so you can restore it from WordPress if you change your mind.

Questions about Proofsource and WordPress
How do I connect WordPress?
Create an application password for a WordPress user, then enter the site address, user and password under Fixes, Publish to. Proofsource checks them with WordPress and stores them encrypted. You can revoke the password in WordPress to disconnect.
Does Proofsource need a plugin on my site?
No. Publishing uses the standard WordPress connection with an application password. A separate, optional plugin will report AI bot visits.
What does Proofsource change when I connect WordPress?
Only what you approve. Proofsource creates one new post or page with the body of the fix after you have seen the preview and confirmed. It does not change your theme, plugins, menus or existing content.
Can I undo a page Proofsource published?
Yes. Every page Proofsource publishes has a roll back that moves the post to the WordPress trash, from the same Publish to screen. From the trash you can restore it in WordPress at any time.
What does Beta mean for the WordPress integration?
It means publishing to WordPress works from Fixes today and carries a Beta badge while we finish the edges.
How do I know a WordPress page helped my AI visibility?
Proofsource asks the same buyer questions again on day 7, 14 and 28 after the page went live and shows, engine by engine, whether the AI engines now name or cite you, next to the starting point it recorded before you published.
Which AI engines does Proofsource check?
Up to 10 depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The free scan and the trial run four of them.
