Which AI crawlers read your site, from Cloudflare.
Connect Cloudflare and Proofsource counts the requests GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and other AI crawlers make to your site, page by page, and flags the pages they keep reading that no AI answer cites.
What Cloudflare adds
Requests per crawler and page
Daily requests from each AI crawler, by page, counted the way Cloudflare's own AI Crawl Control counts them, so the totals line up with what you see in Cloudflare.
Crawled but never cited
Pages AI crawlers fetched three or more times that no answer Proofsource tracks has cited. Usually the page is reachable but does not answer the question in a form engines quote.
Spoofed crawlers named
Each crawler's IP address is checked against the list its company publishes. Requests from other addresses are named and shown as a share verified, without changing the counts.
Connect in three steps
1. Open AI Traffic Analytics
In Proofsource, confirm your site and choose Cloudflare. We check your site's response headers and preselect Cloudflare when your site runs behind it.
2. Connect Cloudflare
Click Connect with Cloudflare and approve read-only access to analytics; we pick your zone. Or paste your Zone ID and an API token with one permission: Zone, Analytics, Read.
3. Check that data arrives
Proofsource loads the history Cloudflare keeps on your plan, about a week on the free plan, then refreshes once a day on its own.
Good to know
- Cloudflare's analytics API reports a sample of requests, so a count is a floor: the real number is at least this.
- A zone connection reports daily totals. To record every single request with its time, path and IP address, send your access logs to Proofsource as a log drain from the same setup.
- Your API token is stored encrypted and never shown again. Disconnect on the Integrations page, under Crawler sources, at any time.
Does Proofsource read my Cloudflare logs?
No. Connecting a zone reads Cloudflare's analytics with read-only access, which gives daily request counts per crawler and page. Per-request detail needs a log drain.
Where can I see AI crawler traffic in Cloudflare itself?
Cloudflare's AI Crawl Control shows requests per AI crawler for your zone. Proofsource counts the same way, then adds which of those pages AI answers cite.
