Proofsource and Zendesk: help center answers AI can quote
Connect Zendesk once and every AI visibility fix you approve can become a live article in your Zendesk Guide help center. Proofsource drafts the answer from the sources AI already trusts, publishes it after your yes, checks it is public, and then measures whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and the other engines start naming your brand.

The facts, ready to quote.

Why we love Zendesk
In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.
A knowledge base that writes itself with you
Zendesk Knowledge studies past tickets to spot the questions customers keep asking, then drafts articles for an admin to review, which keeps a help center growing in the right direction.
From zendesk.comSupport wherever customers already are
Zendesk Messaging brings website and app chat together with WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, and gives agents one workspace with the customer's context in view.
From zendesk.comAI that keeps learning from real conversations
Zendesk AI pairs AI agents, a helpful copilot for staff and quality monitoring, and gets better as it learns from actual customer conversations.
From zendesk.comHow Proofsource uses Zendesk
Publishes approved AI visibility fixes as Zendesk Guide help center articles, checks they are live, and can undo them.
- Know
Find the support question you lose
Proofsource sees that ChatGPT or Perplexity answers a how-to or comparison question about your product with a competitor, because your help center never addresses it.
- Act
Draft the article that answers it
The draft is written from the pages AI already cites for that question, in your brand's voice, with a plain title and a direct first answer, ready for your review.
- Ship
Publish to Zendesk Guide
After your yes, Proofsource creates the article in the section you chose, or in your first section, and checks the public page is up.
- Prove
Check whether AI noticed
Proofsource asks the same questions again on day 7, 14 and 28 and shows whether the engines now name and cite you.
Set up Zendesk in 4 steps
Turn on token access in Zendesk
In Zendesk Admin Center open Apps and integrations, then Zendesk API, turn on token access and add a token.
Pick Zendesk in Integrations
Choose the brand, then paste your subdomain (the part before .zendesk.com), an agent's email and the token.
Choose where articles go
Optionally paste a section ID. Left empty, articles go into your first section, or a new one when there is none.
Approve your first fix
Open any drafted fix, choose Zendesk under Publish to, preview it and publish. Proofsource confirms the article is live, and you can undo it any time.

Questions about Proofsource and Zendesk
What does Proofsource change in Zendesk?
Only your Help Center. Proofsource creates a new article in the section you picked, with the draft as its body, then checks the public page is live. It does not touch tickets, customers, macros, triggers or your theme.
How do I disconnect Zendesk?
In Proofsource, open Integrations, pick Zendesk and remove the connection. You can also delete the API token in Zendesk Admin Center, which cuts access at once. Articles already published stay in your help center unless you undo them first.
What does Preview mean for the Zendesk integration?
It is open to Pro plans and above and fully publishes, with a Preview badge while we widen what it can publish. Every article still needs your approval first, and each one can be undone.
How do I know a Zendesk article helped my AI visibility?
Proofsource asks the same buyer questions again on day 7, 14 and 28 after the article went live and shows, engine by engine, whether AI now names or cites you.
Which AI engines does Proofsource check?
Up to 10 depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The free scan and trial run four.
What access does Proofsource need in Zendesk?
A subdomain, the email of an agent who can manage Help Center articles, and an API token created under Apps and integrations, Zendesk API. Proofsource uses it only to create, check and undo the articles you approve.
