Proofsource and Linear: fixes that arrive as ready issues
Connect Linear once and any fix becomes an issue for the team you choose, written with the problem, the AI answers that show it, the pages it touches and the fix itself. Proofsource posts proof as comments, moves the issue when the fix is proven live, and reads its state back.

Proofsource and Linear, in short
The facts, ready to quote.
- Stage
- Beta, with a Beta badge in the app
- Connects with
- Linear sign-in (OAuth with PKCE), one connection for the whole organization
- Access it needs
- Create and update issues, comments and labels in the team you choose
- Where it shows
- Fixes, under Hand it to my team, and the Integrations directory under Hand off to your team
- Label
- An AI visibility label, created for you when it is missing
- Reads back
- Issue state, so your fix list always matches your board
Beta Beta means the Linear hand-off works and the sign-in app is configured, but we keep a Beta badge on the card while we widen what it can do. Nothing is created in Linear until someone chooses Create a Linear issue on a fix.
Why we love Linear
In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.
A tool that is a pleasure to be fast in
Linear is built around speed and keyboard-first flow, so triaging, assigning and closing work feels light instead of like admin.
From linear.appA clear point of view on how to build
Linear Method sets out how the team thinks about direction, momentum and scoping, which gives its users a shared, opinionated way to run a product team.
From linear.appAI woven into the workflow
Linear brings AI into the places where work happens, helping teams triage, summarize and route issues rather than adding another tool to check.
From linear.appHow Proofsource uses Linear
Turns each AI visibility fix into a Linear issue with the evidence, then moves it when the fix is proven live.
- Know
See what needs doing and why
Proofsource finds the buyer question where ChatGPT or Perplexity names a competitor instead of you, and the page gap behind it.
- Act
Write the issue for you
The issue holds the problem, the AI answers that show it, the pages it touches and the fix, so engineers and writers do not start from a blank ticket.
- Ship
Create it in the right team
Choose the team, and Proofsource creates the issue, adding an AI visibility label when your workspace does not have one yet.
- Prove
Close the loop on the issue
Proofsource posts proof as comments, moves the issue when the fix is proven live, and reads the issue state back so the fix list matches your board.

GRO-214: Add an integrations section to the pricing page
- Problem: ChatGPT lists three competitors for Zoom and Teams notes, not Driffle
- Evidence: 4 of 5 recent answers
- Pages: /pricing
- Fix: a drafted section, attached

Questions about Proofsource and Linear
What does Proofsource create in Linear?
An issue for the team you choose, with the problem, the AI answers that show it, the pages it touches and the fix. It adds an AI visibility label if one does not exist, then posts proof as comments and moves the issue when the fix is proven live.
How do I connect Linear?
Open the Linear card under Hand off to your team and choose Connect Linear. You sign in to Linear and approve. It is one connection for the whole organization, using OAuth with PKCE, so no key is pasted.
What access does it need?
Enough to create issues, comment on them, manage the AI visibility label and read issue state in the team you pick.
How do I disconnect?
Disconnect on the Linear card in Proofsource, or remove the Proofsource app from your Linear settings. Existing issues stay in Linear.
What does Beta mean for Linear?
The hand-off works and is open, and a Beta badge shows on the card while we add more. Nothing is created until a person picks Create a Linear issue on a fix.
How does this help my AI visibility?
Fixes only matter once they ship. Linear puts each one in front of the team that owns the work with all the evidence attached, and Proofsource then checks whether engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini now name and cite you.
Does Proofsource change issues I did not create from it?
No. It reads and moves only the issues it created for fixes.
Which AI engines does Proofsource check?
Up to 10 depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
