Proofsource and Framer: fixes that land in your CMS

Connect a Framer project once and approved AI visibility fixes are added to your Framer CMS, then the site is published for you. Proofsource writes each page from the sources AI already trusts, waits for your yes, checks the page is live, and measures whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and the other engines start naming your brand.

Why we love Framer

In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.

A canvas built for design

Framer lets designers lay out responsive sites on a visual canvas, with AI to explore ideas, reusable components and effects, and publish without writing code.

From framer.com

A CMS that stays on the canvas

Framer's CMS lets you create collections, manage content and tune SEO right where you design, so content and layout never drift apart.

From framer.com

Your site, kept in your control

Framer pairs AI help with direct control of the canvas, so a team can generate, update and maintain dynamic pages while still deciding exactly how they look.

How Proofsource uses Framer

Adds approved AI visibility fixes to the Framer CMS, publishes the site, checks pages are live, and undoes them.

  1. Know

    Find the question you lose

Proofsource sees that ChatGPT or Perplexity names a competitor, not you, when buyers ask a question your site never answers.

  2. Act

Draft the page that wins it

The draft is written from the pages AI already cites for that question, in your brand's voice, and waits for your review.

  3. Ship

Add it to the CMS and publish

After your yes, Proofsource adds the page to your CMS collection, publishes the site and checks the page is live. It can also make approved text edits to existing pages.

  4. Prove

    Check whether AI noticed

Proofsource asks the same questions again on day 7, 14 and 28 and shows engine by engine whether the Framer page is now named and cited.

Set up Framer in 4 steps

  1. Create a project API key

In Framer open Site settings, General, and create an API key for the project. It is scoped to that project only.

  2. Add Framer in Proofsource

Under Fixes, open Publish to, choose Framer and paste the project link and the key. If your site has several collections you can add the collection ID.

  3. Preview and publish

Open a drafted fix, read the preview and confirm. Proofsource adds the page, publishes the site and checks the page is live.

  4. Undo when needed

Undo removes the item Proofsource added from the CMS and republishes, so the live site matches what you want.

Questions about Proofsource and Framer

How do I connect Framer?

Create a project API key in Site settings, General, then paste the project link and the key under Fixes, in Publish to. You may also add a CMS collection ID if the site has more than one.

Where is my project key kept?

Your key is stored encrypted and used only for the project you connect. It is scoped to that project in Framer, so it cannot reach your other sites.

What does Proofsource change when I connect Framer?

Only what you approve. Proofsource adds one page to the CMS collection, or an approved text edit to a page, then publishes the site. It does not redesign layouts or touch other collections.

Can I undo a page Proofsource published?

Yes. Undo removes the item Proofsource added to your Framer CMS and republishes the site, from the same Publish to screen.

What does Preview mean for the Framer integration?

It means the Framer publisher shows a Preview badge and is open to Pro plans and above. It publishes for real after your approval, while we widen what it can publish.

How do I know a Framer page helped my AI visibility?

Proofsource asks the same buyer questions again on day 7, 14 and 28 after the page went live and shows, engine by engine, whether the AI engines now name or cite you, next to the starting point it recorded before you published.

Which AI engines does Proofsource check?

Up to 10 depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The free scan and the trial run four of them.
