A brand knowledge base that keeps AI answers accurate

The Proofsource brand knowledge base is the source of truth your AI accuracy checks run against. It starts with brand facts read from your website, which you confirm or edit, and grows with the bases, folders and items you add. When a fact is missing, Proofsource asks you for it. Google Drive, Confluence and SharePoint connections are coming soon. You then see how much of it each engine repeats.

What is a brand knowledge base for AI?

A brand knowledge base for AI is a structured, trusted record of what is true about a company: what it sells, who it serves, pricing model, founding facts, locations, policies and product details. It serves two jobs in AI visibility work. It is the reference used to judge whether an AI answer about the brand is right, and it is the material used to write content that teaches engines the right facts.

Without one, accuracy checking turns into opinion. A model asked whether an answer is correct will guess from its own training, which is the very thing you are trying to check. A knowledge base gives every verdict a fixed source that your team has confirmed, and it keeps corrections from drifting away from what the company actually says.

In Proofsource the knowledge base starts automatically: brand facts are read from your site and shown for you to confirm with Looks right or Edit. You can then create knowledge bases, organize them in folders and add items. Connections to Google Drive, Confluence and SharePoint are coming soon. When Proofsource needs a fact it cannot find, it asks you. The accuracy panel shows the facts used for each check and a coverage signal of how much of your knowledge each engine repeats.

How it works

One place for your brand's true facts, read from your site and added by you, that Proofsource uses to check and correct what AI says about you.

  1. Import your brand facts

Proofsource reads your site for name, category, audience and core facts, and you confirm or edit them.

  2. Create knowledge bases

Add bases, folders and items for product docs, pricing sheets, policies and anything else that is true.

  3. Connect your documents when they open

Google Drive, Confluence and SharePoint are coming soon. Join early access and we tell you when they open; until then add items by hand.

  4. Answer what is missing

When a fact is missing, Proofsource asks you back, so checks never rest on a guess.

  5. See coverage per engine

The accuracy panel shows how many of your facts each engine repeats across its answers.

See it in the product

Real screenshots from the Proofsource app show a live brand; drawn screens carry sample data for an example brand.

Brand fact import

Reads your brand's core facts from your site and asks you to confirm or edit them.

Knowledge bases, folders and items

Create knowledge bases, organize them in folders, add the items that state what is true, and browse or search across them to find and update a fact.

Who it is for

Product marketing manager

One confirmed set of brand facts

Keep pricing, positioning and product facts in one place that every accuracy check and draft uses.

Docs or support lead

Keep your help content in one place

Add your help and pricing content as knowledge items, so the knowledge base stays in step with what you say.

Agency strategist

Onboard a client in an afternoon

Import the client's facts from their site, have them confirm, and fill gaps from the questions asked back.

Developer

Keep facts in sync from your systems

Manage knowledge bases through the API when your source of truth lives elsewhere.

Why it matters

Verdicts you can trust

Every accuracy verdict rests on facts your team confirmed, not on a model's guess.

Fast to start

Facts are imported from your site first, so you edit instead of typing from scratch.

Your own wording

Add pricing sheets, policies and product docs as items, so checks and drafts use the words your team already approved.

Shows what engines miss

The coverage signal tells you which engine repeats the least of your facts.

Questions about brand knowledge base for AI

Why does AI accuracy checking need a knowledge base?

To judge whether an AI answer is right you need a fixed source of what is true. The knowledge base is that source, confirmed by your team, so verdicts do not depend on another model's guess.

Do I have to build it from scratch?

No. Proofsource reads your core brand facts from your website and shows them for you to confirm with Looks right or Edit. You add more only where it helps.

Which document tools can I connect?

Today you add items by hand, starting from the facts Proofsource reads from your site. Coming soon: Google Drive, Confluence and SharePoint. Join early access and we tell you when they open.

What happens when a fact is missing?

Proofsource asks you for it. It does not fill gaps with a guess, so checks and drafts only use facts you have confirmed.

What is the coverage signal?

It shows how many of your knowledge base facts each engine repeats across its answers, for every engine your plan covers. It is a coverage signal, not a fact-check; wrong claims are listed separately on the accuracy page.

Can I manage knowledge bases through the API?

Yes. Knowledge bases can be created, read, updated and deleted through the Proofsource API as well as in the app.

How is this different from Profound's Context Manager?

Profound's Context Manager keeps its agents aligned with live brand and personal context, which is a strong fit for content work. The Proofsource knowledge base is also the reference for accuracy checks: each claim in an AI answer is judged against it, and the coverage signal shows how much of it each engine repeats.

Does it work for brands with little written about them?

Yes, and that is where it matters most. Newer brands give engines little to read, so the facts you confirm here become the basis for the corrections and pages that teach engines who you are.
