What is an AI brand accuracy checker?
An AI brand accuracy checker is a tool that compares what AI assistants say about a company with what is actually true. Buyers now ask 10 AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot about pricing, features, founding dates, locations and policies before they ever visit your site. When an answer carries a wrong fact, it reaches every buyer who asks, and nobody on your team sees it happen.
A useful checker does three things. It asks the questions buyers actually ask, it breaks each answer into separate factual claims, and it judges each claim against a trusted source of truth about the brand. Reading a full answer by eye is slow and easy to get wrong; claim-level checking is what makes the result countable and repeatable.
Proofsource does this on every scan. It reads the answers from the engines your plan covers, pulls out the claims about your brand, and checks them against your brand facts and knowledge base. Each claim gets a verdict, each wrong claim lists the engines that repeat it, and each one keeps a live status so you can see when an engine stops saying it.

Questions about AI brand accuracy checker
What does the AI brand accuracy checker actually check?
It checks the factual claims that AI answers make about your brand, such as pricing, plans, founding year, features, locations and policies. Each claim is compared with your brand facts and knowledge base and marked right or wrong.
Which AI engines does it cover?
It covers up to 10 AI engines, depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. Each wrong claim lists the engines that repeat it, so you can see whether an error is in one engine or all of them.
Where do my brand facts come from?
Proofsource builds your brand facts from your website and public profiles, and you can add a knowledge base of your own documents. The accuracy page shows the facts and the coverage used for the check, so you can see what each verdict is based on.
Is this the same as AI hallucination detection?
It is closely related. A hallucination is any statement that is not supported by facts; this checker focuses on statements about your brand and checks each one against your facts. When a wrong claim appears, Proofsource can also raise an alert so you do not have to keep checking.
What do I do when a claim is wrong?
Open the claim and generate a corrective draft. Proofsource writes content that states the right fact clearly, which you can place on your site or profiles so engines read the correct version.
How do I know a correction worked?
Each wrong claim keeps a status per engine on later scans: still wrong, checking or fixed. When an engine stops repeating the claim, its status moves to fixed.
How is this different from Profound FactCheck?
Profound's FactCheck verifies AI claims about a brand and traces inaccurate claims to publishers, which is a strong approach for large brand teams. Proofsource checks claims on every scan against your own facts, lists every engine that repeats each wrong claim, drafts the correction, and keeps a status on each claim until it is fixed.
Does it work for small brands with little written about them?
Yes. Small and new brands often have the most to gain, because engines have little first-party text to read. The checker shows exactly which facts are missing or wrong so you know what to publish.
