AI answer quality checks, so every mention is real
Proofsource reads every AI answer before it counts it. It checks that a mention is really your brand and not a word or company with the same name, that the answer is about your category, which claims it makes about you and whether they match your facts, and how it positions you. Marketers get visibility numbers they can trust and a list of claims that differ from their facts.

AI answer quality checks, explained
AI answer quality checks are the steps between an AI engine's raw answer and the numbers in your dashboard. A name match is a good first step, and a count is only as useful as the checks behind it: brands named after common words can match by chance, a company in another country with the same name can be mistaken for you, and an answer about a different topic that mentions you in passing can lift your score. In the other direction, an answer can name you and still say something that differs from your facts about your product.
Good checks answer four questions for every answer. Is this mention really about this brand? Is the answer about the brand's category? What does it claim about the brand, and is that true? How does it position the brand against competitors? Getting these right is the difference between a visibility number you can act on and one that misleads you.
Proofsource matches brand and competitor names by name and keyword, guards brand names that are common words, checks the answer is on your category, and gives each answer an identity verdict. It builds a profile of your brand from your site and review profiles to judge against, checks claims against your facts, reads answer tables like a person, scores sentiment and positioning, and judges Reddit threads from the full thread. When reading rules improve, stored answers are re-read without asking the engines again.
How it works
Every AI answer read with care: is it really about you, is it on your category, are its claims true, and how does it position you.
Learn the brand
Proofsource builds a profile of your brand from your site and review profiles.
Find the mentions
Brand and competitor names are matched by name and keyword, with common-word names guarded.
Confirm it is you
The answer must be on your category and gets a verdict: this brand, another entity or unclear.
Check the claims
Claims about you are compared with your facts, including ticks and crosses in tables.
Score the tone
Sentiment and positioning themes are recorded for each answer.
Re-read when rules improve
Stored answers are re-read with current rules, with no new engine calls.

Questions about AI answer quality checks
How does Proofsource know a mention is really my brand?
It matches names and keywords, guards brand names that are common words, checks the answer is about your category and gives each answer an identity verdict: this brand, another entity or unclear. Only answers about your brand count.
My brand name is a common word. Will that inflate my numbers?
No. Common-word names are flagged, and their mentions are judged against your category context so everyday uses of the word are left out.
Can Proofsource tell me when an answer says something that does not match our facts?
Yes. Claims in answers about your brand are checked against your facts and marked true or false, with the answer and engine they came from.
How are answer tables read?
Ticks, crosses and values in tables are read the way a person would, so a cross in a features table counts as a no.
Does it measure sentiment?
Yes. Every answer gets a sentiment score and the positioning themes engines use about you, such as easy to set up or newer than the alternatives.
What if my site blocks your reader?
Proofsource uses a web-grounded public profile of your company instead, so checks still have a reference.
Does it work for every engine?
Yes. Every answer from every engine your plan covers goes through the same checks, across up to 10 AI engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
How is this different from Profound FactCheck?
Profound FactCheck is strong at tracing inaccurate claims to publishers. Proofsource runs claim checks as part of a wider reading of every answer, including identity verdicts, category checks and re-reading stored answers when rules improve.
