Your visibility on each AI engine side by side, with competitors

Each AI engine has its own sources and habits, so a brand can lead on ChatGPT and barely appear on Perplexity. The Platforms view puts every engine your plan covers side by side in one heat map of mention rate, citations and sentiment, breaks it down by competitor, topic, region or persona, and ranks you against tracked brands. For teams deciding where to focus first.

Per-engine AI visibility, explained

Per-engine AI visibility measures how often each AI answer engine names your brand for the same set of buyer questions. Engines differ in how they search, which sources they trust and how many brands they list. ChatGPT tends to name several brands from broad web results. Perplexity leans on the sources it cites inline. Google AI Overviews draws on pages that rank in Google. Claude may answer from training data when it does not search.

Averaging across engines hides that. A 35% overall mention rate could be 55% on ChatGPT and 10% on Perplexity, which calls for very different fixes: a Perplexity gap usually means you are missing from the sources it cites, while an AI Overviews gap often tracks your Google rankings.

Proofsource shows each engine as its own column in a heat map, with mention rate, citation rate and sentiment, and lets you pivot rows by competitor, topic, region or persona. The mention leaderboard ranks you among tracked brands, and the Visibility page trends mention rate, share of voice, average position and citation rank against competitors you choose. Changes inside statistical noise are marked as such.

How it works

Compare how up to 10 AI engines, from ChatGPT and Perplexity to Gemini, Copilot and Grok treat your brand side by side: mention, citation and sentiment per engine, with a competitor leaderboard.

  1. Set your competitors

Track, exclude or add competitors, including their map, app store or YouTube links, and the names that count as your brand.

  2. Open Platforms

See each engine as a column with mention, citation and sentiment.

  3. Switch the rows

Pivot the same grid by competitor, topic, region or persona, depending on the question.

  4. Check the leaderboard

See where you stand against the brands AI names instead of you.

  5. Pick the engine to fix

Questions about AI visibility by engine

Which engines are compared?

Up to 10, depending on your plan, from ChatGPT and Perplexity to Gemini, Copilot and Grok. The free scan and trial run four of them.

Why is my visibility so different on each engine?

Engines use different sources. Perplexity leans on cited pages, AI Overviews on Google rankings, ChatGPT on broad web results, and Claude sometimes answers from training data. Each gap usually needs a different fix.

What is the mention leaderboard?

A ranking of you and your tracked competitors by mention rate, share of voice and average position in AI answers.

Can I break the engine view down by persona or region?

Yes. Switch the rows to competitors, topics, region or persona.

How do I make sure mentions of my brand are counted?

Use name matching in Settings to list the names that count as your brand, and add former names in brand details.

Is a small change on one engine meaningful?

Not always. Proofsource marks changes that are inside statistical noise so you do not chase random movement.

Can I export it?

Yes. The engine breakdown downloads as CSV.

Try it on your own brand.
