What is an AI visibility dashboard?

An AI visibility dashboard is a report of how AI answer engines talk about a brand. Instead of ranking blue links, it records what AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews actually say when someone asks a buying question such as "best AI note taker for Zoom", then counts how often the brand is named, where it sits in the list, which sources the engine cites and how the brand is described.

Because AI answers vary from one run to the next, a single screenshot proves very little. A useful dashboard asks the same questions on a schedule, keeps every answer, and reports rates with clear ranges so a team can tell a real change from normal swing.

Proofsource builds the dashboard from stored answers to your tracked buyer questions. The headline is the share of answers that name you, split by engine and topic, with average position, a trend over time and markers for the days your fixes went live. Click any number and you see the exact answers it counts.

How it works

One screen that shows how often up to 10 AI engines, from ChatGPT and Perplexity to Gemini, Copilot and Grok name your brand, with trends, positions and receipts.

  1. Track real buyer questions

Proofsource asks the questions your buyers ask, grouped into topics, on every engine you track.

  2. Store every answer

Each answer is kept with its engine, date, named brands, position and cited sources.

  3. Count with ranges

Mention rate, position and share are computed per engine and topic, with a range so small samples read as small.

  4. Plot the trend

Daily runs feed trend lines, with fix markers, plan periods and notes laid on top.

  5. Open the receipts

Any number opens the answers behind it, so you can read what each engine said.

See it in the product

Real screenshots from the Proofsource app show a live brand; drawn screens carry sample data for an example brand.

Every capability, live today

15 shipped capabilities behind AI visibility dashboard, each in the product now.

Visibility landing

The Visibility tab opens on your headline numbers; new workspaces open on a range that starts at their first scan, so nothing looks empty.

Core dashboard

History, portfolio view, exports, saved views and citation tags together on one dashboard.

Insight to action

The dashboard is the insight half of the loop: each number leads to the question, answer and fix behind it.

Trend lines at your cadence

Trend lines bucket answers by the cadence your workspace is sampled at, so points are comparable.

Average position

Where your brand sits in the list when an answer names it, averaged over the answers in range, with a chart of average position over time.

Visibility by bucket

A visibility score for each bucket, such as a topic or engine, so you can see where you are strong or missing.

Per-engine metrics

A Platforms view with metrics for each engine side by side, across every engine your plan covers.

Mentions receipts

Every brand named in a single answer is recorded, so a mention count can list the exact runs behind it.

Co-mention receipts

For any brand named alongside you, see each run where it appeared: the receipt behind the count.

Chart markers and notes

Fix-live days, trial and plan periods and team notes (with their author) are drawn on the charts at their date, so a change in the line has its reason beside it.

Sentiment profile

Shows how AI describes your brand, beside how often it names you, with a summary at the top of the Sentiment tab.

Metric definitions

A plain reference for what each metric means and how it is counted.

Explain a number

Ask the in-app helper about any number and it answers with the facts behind it.

Daily runs strip

A strip of daily runs on the visibility and daily scan tabs, showing what each day's run found.

Read-only live demo

Try a read-only Proofsource demo that replays recorded real AI answers, with no sign-in needed. Writes show a plain read-only message and a sign-up prompt.

Who it is for

Head of marketing

Report AI visibility with confidence

Show leadership one number per engine with its range, and open the answers when someone asks why.

Content lead

See which topics you are missing

Bucket views show the topics where engines name competitors and not you, so content goes where it counts.

Agency strategist

Explain movement to a client

Fix markers and notes on the trend line tell the story of what changed and when.

Founder

Know if AI recommends you

A plain answer to whether ChatGPT and Perplexity name your product, checked on real buyer questions.

Why it matters

Receipts, not black boxes

Every count opens the answers it came from, so nobody has to take a score on faith.

Ranges, not guesses

Rates carry ranges, so a small sample reads as a first read, not a verdict.

Cause beside effect

Fix markers and notes sit on the chart where the line moves.

Every engine apart

Per-engine metrics show where you are strong and where you are missing.

Questions about AI visibility dashboard

What does the AI visibility dashboard measure?

It measures how often up to 10 AI engines, from ChatGPT and Perplexity to Gemini, Copilot and Grok name your brand when asked your tracked buyer questions, where you sit in the list, which sources they cite and how your visibility moves over time.

Which AI engines are included?

Up to 10 AI engines, depending on your plan, from ChatGPT and Perplexity to Gemini, Copilot and Grok. The free scan and trial run four of them.

Why does the mention rate show a range?

AI answers vary between runs, so a rate from a few dozen answers is uncertain. The range tells you how far the true rate could sit, so you do not react to normal swing.

Can I see the actual AI answers?

Yes. Every number opens the stored answers it was counted from, with the brands named, your position and the sources cited.

How often is the dashboard updated?

Your tracked questions are asked on your workspace's schedule and each run lands on the daily strip and the trend lines as soon as it is checked.

How is this different from Profound or Peec AI?

Both offer strong AI visibility dashboards. Proofsource puts receipts and ranges on every number and lays fix markers on the trend, so you can see whether the work you shipped moved the line.

Does it track competitors too?

Yes. The same answers show which competitors were named instead of you, and you can overlay competitors on the trend chart.

What do the markers on the chart mean?

A marker shows the day a fix went live, a shaded band shows a trial or plan period, and notes are added by your team.

Try it on your own brand.
