What is an AI agent skill?
A skill is a packaged piece of know-how an AI agent can load when it needs it. Instead of repeating the same long instructions in every agent, you write them once: how your brand talks, which claims are allowed, how a comparison page is structured, how to reply on Reddit without sounding like an ad. Agents then call the skill by name.
In Proofsource, skills live in their own gallery. Each has a name, a short description that tells agents when to use it, and the instructions themselves. You can read a skill as a document or switch to edit mode. Proofsource ships built-in skills, which you cannot change directly: duplicate one to get your own copy and edit that.
Skills also work in Ask Proofsource, the chat that answers questions about your AI visibility. A skills picker in the chat lets you choose which skills a conversation should use, so the same brand voice applies whether an agent drafts a page or you ask for one in chat.
