Build AI marketing agents on a visual canvas
The Proofsource agent builder is a visual editor for AI marketing agents. You drag steps onto a canvas, connect them, set each one up, test a single step, then publish a version that runs on demand or on a schedule. Agents read what up to 10 AI engines say, draft pages, wait for your OK, publish and check citations.

What is an AI marketing agent builder?
An AI marketing agent is a saved set of steps that a system runs for you: it reads data, makes a decision, asks a model to write or judge something, and hands you the result. An agent builder is the editor where you design those steps. Visual builders show the agent as a graph, with boxes for steps and lines for what each step hands to the next, so a marketer can read and change it without code.
In Proofsource, agents work on AI visibility. A typical agent finds the buyer questions where you were named less this week, reads what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews said, checks whether a competitor was named instead, drafts a comparison page, waits for your Yes, publishes it to your site, then checks whether AI cites the page. Each box on the canvas is one of those steps.
Every step shows what it needs, what it does and what it hands on. Steps that change something outside Proofsource are marked as side effects. The builder validates the graph before you publish and blocks a publish while errors remain, so the version that runs is always one that can run.
How it works
Build AI visibility agents as a visual graph of steps, test each step, then publish a version that runs on its own.
Add steps from the palette
Pick steps from the list on the left: read visibility, read citations, research, draft a page, wait for your Yes, publish, check citations.
Connect them on the canvas
Draw what each step hands to the next. Branches, loops over each item and AI model steps are all boxes on the same canvas.
Set each step up
Select a step to open its settings, inputs and outputs. Auto layout keeps the graph tidy as it grows.
Test a single step
Run one step on its own to see its output before you run the whole agent.
Validate and publish a version
Validate the saved graph, fix any errors, then publish. Publishing freezes the version and makes the agent runnable.
Run it, then schedule it
Run now to test. After three clean runs, put it on a schedule so it runs without you.

Agents as node graphs
Build agents as graphs of steps, with versions, runs, approvals and schedules.
Graph builder
A visual editor with a step palette, a canvas of connected steps and a settings panel for the selected step.
Auto layout
Lays the steps out automatically so a growing agent stays easy to read.
Full screen and panels
Go full screen and collapse the step list or the settings panel when you need room.
Run a single step
Test one step on its own and see its output before running the whole agent.

Visibility, scorecard and traffic steps
Steps that read your AI visibility, your scorecard and your AI traffic.
Citation steps
Steps that read which pages AI cites and whether it cites yours.
Content and research steps
FAQ writing, research snippets, an article research report, bulk input and a step that repeats for each item.
Content steps that do the writing
Content steps that draft real page copy inside a run.
Google Docs steps
Hand an agent's draft to your team as a Google Doc as part of an agent.
Integration steps
Steps that use the tools you have connected to Proofsource.
Publish-to-site step
A step that publishes the agent's approved output to your connected site.
Who it is for
Turn lost questions into pages
Build an agent that finds the buyer questions you lost this week, drafts the page that answers each one and waits for your edit before it goes live.
Feed a weekly doc
Hand each week's AI visibility and citation changes to your team as a Google Doc they can edit.
One agent per client
Design a workflow once, then duplicate it for each client brand and keep each version history apart.
Change steps safely
Edit a new version, test one step, and revert in one click if the new version does worse.
Why it matters
Readable by anyone
Each step says what it needs, what it does and what it hands on, so the whole team can review an agent.
Nothing goes live without you
Publish and send steps wait for your Yes, and side effects are marked on the canvas.
Safe to change
Versions are frozen when published and any older one can be restored.
Runs on its own once proven
Three clean runs and the agent can be scheduled to run without you.

Questions about AI marketing agent builder
What can a Proofsource agent do?
An agent reads your AI visibility, citations, scorecard and AI traffic, does research, writes FAQs or page drafts, creates Google Docs, uses your connected tools, waits for your OK and publishes to your connected site. You decide the steps and their order.
Do I need to code to build an agent?
No. You build on a visual canvas by adding and connecting steps, or you describe the agent in a sentence and Proofsource assembles the graph for you to adjust.
Can an agent publish to my site without asking me?
No. Steps that publish or send anything run only right after your Yes. You read the draft, edit it if you want, then approve or ask for changes.
How do I test an agent before it runs on its own?
Run a single step to check its output, or test the whole agent on last week's stored answers, which is read only. An agent then needs three clean runs before it is scheduled to run alone.
What happens if I break an agent with an edit?
Edits go into a new draft version. Validation blocks a publish while errors remain, and you can revert to any earlier published version.
Which AI engines can agents read?
Agents read the answers Proofsource collects from every engine your plan covers, up to 10 AI engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The free trial runs four: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews.
How is this different from Profound Workflows?
Both use node graphs. Proofsource agents are built around fixing and proving AI visibility: steps hand drafts to an approval step, publish to your site, then check whether AI cites the page, and every version needs clean runs before it runs alone.
How are agent runs charged?
Agent runs use credits for the work each step really did. The run trace shows the credits each step used.
Can an agent use Google Sheets or Drive?
Coming soon: join early access and we tell you when Google Sheets and Drive steps open. Google Docs steps work today in Beta.
