Proofsource and your Shopify catalog: one story everywhere
AI shopping answers quote the price and stock they find, so a catalog that disagrees with your pages costs you trust. Proofsource reads your Shopify product catalog, compares each listing with what it read on your own pages, and turns every wrong price, stock mismatch or missing product into a Fix it row that closes when a re-check passes.

Why we love Shopify product catalog feed
In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.
A catalog that powers every channel
Shopify keeps products, prices and stock in one back office and reuses them across the online store, in person and social channels, so a single edit updates everywhere.
From shopify.comOne catalog, many countries
Shopify Markets lets a store sell to buyers in many countries from a single catalog, with local currencies and languages handled for each market.
From shopify.comAutomation without code
Shopify Flow lets merchants automate tasks across their store and apps with triggers, conditions and actions, so routine catalog work runs by itself.
From shopify.comHow Proofsource uses Shopify product catalog feed
Compares your Shopify catalog with your own pages and turns every wrong price or stock status into a fix.
- Connect
Comes with the app
Once the Proofsource Shopify app is installed, the store's linked token lets Proofsource read the product catalog. There is no feed file to export.
- Know
Compare listing and page
For each product Proofsource compares the catalog's price, availability and title with what it read on your own page for that product.
- Act
Each gap is a fix
A wrong price, a stock status that disagrees, or a product missing from the feed becomes a mismatch row on Shopping and a Fix it row.
- Prove
Fixed when it re-checks clean
When you correct the catalog or the page, the next check no longer finds the mismatch and marks it fixed.
How to join early access
Install the Proofsource Shopify app
Install from the Shopify App Store listing. The feed check is part of the same install, so there is nothing separate to connect.
Let the store link to your brand
The managed install links the store and its catalog access to your Proofsource brand.
Open Shopping, then Store feed
The Store feed card shows the Shopify channel as connected, when it last checked, and any mismatches it found.
Fix and re-check
Correct the price, stock or product on Shopify or on the page, then run a re-check. Closed mismatches show as fixed.

Questions about Proofsource and Shopify product catalog feed
What does the Shopify product feed check do?
It reads your Shopify catalog and compares each listing with what Proofsource read on your own product pages. A wrong price, an in stock versus out of stock disagreement, a title that differs or a product missing from the feed becomes a mismatch on Shopping and a Fix it row.
Does it change my catalog?
No. It only reads the catalog and reports differences. You decide whether to fix the catalog or the page, and the mismatch closes after a re-check finds it clean.
How do I connect it?
It comes with the Proofsource Shopify app. When the app is installed and the store is linked to your brand, the Shopify channel shows as connected in the Store feed card.
What does Early access mean here?
The feed check depends on the Shopify app's access to your catalog, and store installs are still opening one store at a time. Until your store is let in, the channel does not connect.
How do I turn it off?
Uninstall the Proofsource app from Shopify admin. The catalog link closes and no further reads happen.
Why does catalog accuracy matter for AI visibility?
Engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity quote prices and stock when they recommend products. When your catalog and pages agree, the answer they give about you is correct, which protects trust and recommendations.
Can it check Google Merchant Center and Meta too?
Those two channels are coming soon and show as such in the same card. Shopify is the one that reads today, for stores that have the app.
