Proofsource and Google Sheets: bulk runs from the sheet your team shares

Many teams keep their prompts, page lists and product rows in a Google Sheet. The Proofsource Sheets screen will import one tab of that Sheet, read-only, and turn each row into a bulk run just like a CSV import. It is coming soon: join early access and we tell you when it opens. Until then a CSV file or a sitemap does the same job.

Why we love Google Sheets

In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.

Everyone edits the same sheet at once

Google Sheets lets several people co-edit one spreadsheet at the same moment, with sharing controls and revision history so a team's list is always one version of the truth.

From workspace.google.com

A clear model for reading data

The Sheets API treats each spreadsheet as a set of tabs made of cells found by row and column, a simple structure that makes reading a tab predictable.

Friendly for people moving from Excel

Google's help center explains charts, functions and pivot tables for anyone coming from Excel, which is why teams of every background end up living in Sheets.

How Proofsource uses Google Sheets

Coming soon: import a Google Sheet tab straight into Proofsource bulk runs, read-only.

  1. Connect

    Use your Google Workspace connection

Once the connection is live, Import from Google Sheets reuses it. Reconnecting is only needed if Sheets access was not granted the first time.

  2. Read

    Import one tab, read-only

Paste the Sheet's link and Proofsource reads the tab you point to, taking the first row as headers. Nothing is written back to your Sheet.

  3. Act

Run it as a bulk job

Each row lands on the Sheets screen exactly as a CSV import would, ready for a bulk run over many prompts, pages or products.

  4. Prove

    Compare results run over run

Because the rows are the same each time, you can import again and check how answers changed.

How to join early access

  1. Join early access

Ask for Google Sheets on the Integrations page so we can turn it on for your workspace as soon as it opens.

  2. Meanwhile, use a CSV file or sitemap

On the Sheets screen, import from a file or a sitemap. Export your Sheet tab as CSV from Google Sheets first if that is where your rows live.

  3. When it opens, connect Google Workspace

Under Integrations, connect Google Workspace for your organization and approve Sheets access. Then choose Import from Google Sheets and paste the link; a link with a tab id in it reads that tab.

  4. Check the headers and run

Confirm the first row names the columns, then run the bulk job.

Questions about Proofsource and Google Sheets

Can I use Google Sheets with Proofsource today?

Not as a direct import yet. It is Coming soon. Export the tab as CSV from Google Sheets and import it on the Sheets screen, or import from a sitemap.

When will it open?

It opens together with Google Workspace. Join early access and we tell you when it does. Until then, a CSV file or a sitemap does the same job.

What will it read?

One tab of a Sheet you point to, read-only. The first row is treated as column headers and the rows land as they would from a CSV import.

Will it change my Sheet?

No. It only reads values and never writes back.

What access will be needed?

The Google account that connected Workspace must be able to open the Sheet. If Sheets access was not approved, Proofsource asks you to reconnect Google.

How do I disconnect it later?

Disconnect Google Workspace under Integrations and the import stops reading Sheets.

How does this help my AI visibility?

Bulk runs let you check many prompts, pages or products against the AI engines at once. Proofsource checks up to 10 engines depending on your plan: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI. The free scan and the trial run four of them.
