How Proofsource uses webhooks

Sends signed JSON for the digest, alerts and milestones to any URL you control, with retries and a delivery log.

  1. Know

    Get each moment as data

The digest, instant alerts and milestones arrive as JSON, so your own systems can react to a lost mention or a new citation.

  2. Verify

    Check the signature

Every delivery is signed. Your endpoint confirms it came from Proofsource before it acts.

  3. Act

    Feed what you already run

Post to a chat bot, open a ticket, update a sheet or trigger an automation platform, with logic you control.

  4. Prove

    See what was delivered

Retries cover short outages, and the delivery log shows each attempt, so nothing silently goes missing.

Set up webhooks in 4 steps

  1. Open Integrations and choose Webhooks

Under Alerts, open the Webhooks card.

  2. Add your URL

Enter a URL you control on the webhook form. Proofsource signs every delivery to it.

  3. Choose the moments

Pick the digest, instant alerts and milestones this endpoint should receive.

  4. Send a test and check the log

Press Send test, confirm your endpoint verifies the signature, then watch the delivery log. Remove the URL on the card to disconnect.

Questions about Proofsource and webhooks

What does Proofsource send to a webhook?

Signed JSON for the daily digest, instant alerts and milestones, to any URL you control. You choose which of those moments each URL receives.

How do I add a webhook?

Open the Webhooks card under Alerts in Integrations, add a URL you control on the form, choose the moments and press Send test.

How do I know a delivery is genuine?

Every delivery is signed. Your endpoint recomputes the signature with the shared secret and rejects anything that does not match.

What if my endpoint is down?

Proofsource retries deliveries, and the delivery log shows each attempt and its result, so you can see what arrived and what did not.

What access does it need?

None. Proofsource only sends to the URL you give it. It never asks for credentials to your systems.

How do I disconnect?

Remove the URL on the Webhooks card. Deliveries to it stop at once.

What does Live mean for webhooks?

Webhooks are available to every workspace with no beta badge. They sit alongside the Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations.

How does this help my AI visibility?

Getting a lost mention or a new citation into your own systems the same day means fixes are ticketed and shipped faster. Proofsource then checks engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude to show whether you are named.
