Why track these four engines together?
Because they choose brands differently, and buyers use all of them. Each one draws its answer from a different place:

A tool that skips one of them can show you winning while buyers on that engine never hear your name. That is why a plan's engine list matters more than its engine count: a top tier with nine engines is no help if the plan you buy leaves out Claude or Perplexity.
Which tool offers the most accurate daily tracking across all four platforms?
No vendor here publishes an accuracy figure for its tracking, so "most accurate" cannot be read off a pricing page. Two things can be checked instead:
- How often each question is asked. Proofsource: Daily by default on Custom and Managed, or hourly or any frequency you choose, set at onboarding; the trial runs 2 scans about a day apart. Rankscale lets you choose hourly to monthly per search term. AIclicks and Otterly.AI track daily. Knowatoa says it updates daily. AthenaHQ does not publish a cadence.
- How sure each number is. AI answers vary from run to run, so a daily figure moves even when nothing changed. Proofsource puts a 95% Wilson interval on every percentage and flags a change only when it clears that range. The others do not publish an interval on the pages we read.

Why do SE Ranking and ZipTie not cover all four?
Neither lists Claude on its pricing page. SE Ranking tracks Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini; ZipTie tracks seven engines including Bing AI Overview, without Claude.
