Proofsource and Google Calendar: from answer to booked call

Connect Google Calendar for each agency member and Proofsource reads busy times, never event details, to offer slots that really are free. In the agency Inbox, the Send answer plus invite button replies to a prospect and puts a call on both calendars in one step, from the member's own calendar.

Live Live applies to agency workspaces. The calendar connection is per team member, not per client brand.

Why we love Google Calendar

In the makers' own words, from their own pages. Proofsource builds on it, never around it.

Scheduling that sees across your tools

Google Calendar works with Gmail, Meet and Tasks, so dated tasks appear on the calendar, and event details from email can be added in a click.

Booking pages for clients and partners

You can set up a booking page so clients reserve time on their own, which takes the back and forth out of arranging a call.

From workspace.google.com

A calendar API that respects privacy

The free or busy query returns only busy time ranges for the calendars you ask about, so an app can find open slots without reading anyone's event titles.

How Proofsource uses Google Calendar

Reads a member's busy times and sends call invites from their own Google Calendar, for agency workspaces.

  1. Connect

    Link each member's calendar

A member signs in with Google and grants two narrow permissions. Proofsource asks for nothing broader.

  2. Read

    See when they are free

Proofsource reads only busy times, so a reply can offer real slots without opening anyone's diary.

  3. Ship

Send the answer and the invite

In the agency Inbox, Send answer plus invite sends the reply and creates the call on the member's own Google Calendar.

  4. Prove

    Keep the pipeline current

A booked call moves the prospect forward in the pipeline, ready for the report you will walk through.

Set up Google Calendar in 4 steps

  1. Open Settings, Email and calendar

Go to the Calendar section. Each agency member connects their own calendar.

  2. Sign in with Google

Approve the two permissions: create calendar events and read free or busy times. Nothing else is requested.

  3. Check the agency calendar view

Your busy times appear in the agency calendar view, so the team can see who is free before offering a slot.

  4. Use Send answer plus invite

Open a prospect reply in the Inbox and send the answer with a call invite attached. Disconnect any time in the same screen.

A reply to a prospect with slots from real free time and the invite in one step.

What you unlock with Google Calendar

Less back and forth between a pitch and a booked call.

Respects your day

Invites are created on your own calendar, not a shared one.

Questions about Proofsource and Google Calendar

What does Proofsource do with Google Calendar?

It reads a member's free or busy times and creates a call invite on that member's own calendar when they send an answer from the agency Inbox. It does not read event titles or guest lists.

What access does it ask for?

Two permissions only: creating calendar events and reading free or busy times. A member grants them with Google sign-in and no password reaches Proofsource.

Who can connect it?

Each member of an agency workspace connects their own calendar in Settings, Email and calendar. It is not offered to brand workspaces that are not agencies.

How do I disconnect?

Disconnect the calendar in Settings, Email and calendar. You can also remove Proofsource's access from your Google account permissions page.

What does Live mean?

It is open to agency workspaces, where each team member connects their own calendar.

How does this help AI visibility?

It shortens the path from showing a prospect where ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and the other engines leave them out to a booked call where you agree the fix.

Can I use a different calendar tool?

Yes. Cal.com is supported with an API key, in the same Calendar section of Settings.
