What is an AI visibility lead widget?
An AI visibility lead widget is a form on an agency's website that offers visitors a check of how AI engines treat their brand. It works like the website graders SEO agencies have used for years, updated for AI search: instead of a page-speed score, the prospect learns whether ChatGPT and Perplexity recommend them.
For agencies, the value is a qualified lead with context. The prospect has asked a specific question about AI visibility, and the agency gets a scan to open the conversation with real answers rather than a generic pitch.
In Proofsource, the agency switches the widget on in Settings, lists its own websites and copies the embed code. When a visitor submits the form from a listed site, Proofsource starts a pitch scan and the lead shows in the agency's Recent leads with its status. Checks from unlisted sites are refused, recorded on the card, and the visitor is told plainly the form is not set up for that website. When the agency's pitch scan allowance is used up, the lead is queued for an email follow-up.

What if someone copies the code to another site?
Checks only run from the sites you list. Others are refused, the visitor sees a plain message, and the card shows you which host was refused.
